The Premier League outfit Arsenal have been linked with several potential players and reportedly they are getting ready to bid for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani and Chelsea’s veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech. According to recent Arsenal transfer rumours, Gunners will try to bolster their squad to compete for next season’s titles which is the reason for the pursuit of these two players. Arsenal fans will be happy to know that Theo Walcott is ready to extend his contract with the Gunners.
According to the Forza Italian Football, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had an offer rejected by the Serie A champions. But reportedly Wenger is pushing hard to confirm the young defender with an improved £13 million bid.
Wenger is looking for a future replacement for the experienced 30-year-old center-back Per Mertesacker. It seems that Gunners boss has a future plan ahead to build up a strong and confident defensive division to get back their past glories as early as possible.
The defender was owned by both Juventus and Empoli but the Italian league champions finally bought his ownership early this year.
Rugani has the potential to play at the Emirates. The 20-year-old Frenchman played 78 matches for Empoli and was able to net the ball five times.
As per Tuttosport, Juventus has already declined Napoli’s offer to lure the youngster in a loan deal. The Bianconeri don’t want to sell the defender too soon.
Arsenal will try to seal the deal even as soon as possible and ready to spend lavishly if required. The high-potential defender has been in the center of Arsenal transfer rumours recently.
Theo Walcott has finally admitted that he is happy with his involvement with the Gunners so far and ready to sign a new contract with them. Previously, he was linked with a swap-deal for Liverpool’s young sensation Sterling.
The 25-year-old has only one year left on his current contract. As per recent Arsenal transfer rumours, Gunners wanted to go for Sterling which would put the England international in the player-cash deal. But it seems that Arsenal don’t need to pursue Sterling as their speedy winger is content with the offered terms and ready to prolong his career at Emirates.
Arsenal are in the pole position to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech for a fee of £11 million, according to the Daily Mail.
The Czech international was replaced by Thibaut Courtois last season at the Stamford Bridge, only managed seven league appearances. The veteran goalkeeper wants more first team involvement, but probably he won’t get that as Mourinho prefer Courtois to manage the goal line.
The 33-year-old has an impressive clean sheets record. He is the all time second best in the most clean sheets record list of the English Premier League. He has 166 clean sheets record out of 332 appearances for Chelsea. Last season he managed to keep five clean sheets out of his seven matches, which is obviously outstanding.
Arsenal finished their 2014-15 campaign, securing the third spot in the league table. They will have a chance to run for the Champions League title this upcoming season. With the addition of players like Cech, Gunners will look forward to regaining the league title after 2003-04 season.
Arsenal will surely be benefitted if they can lure Cech at the Emirates. A world-class stopper like him will provide the much needed reliability under the goal bars.
