The English giant, Chelsea have decided to pursue Paulo Dybala in the summer transfer window to bolster their forward unit to shine in the next season. According to the recent transfer rumour, the Premier League leaders, Chelsea have already made a move to bring the high-spirited young sensation at Stamford Bridge.
Dybala has been superb in this campaign for Serie A club Palermo, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 others for his fellow teammates. His current form has attracted the big guns of Europe to bid for ensuring his service for the upcoming season, including Arsenal, defending Serie A champions Juventus and Chelsea. His co-agent, Gustavo Mascardi, has disclosed the news of Chelsea’s interest to bring the forward in the English top flight.
Mascardi has told the Tuttosport, “Palermo president, Zamparini wants £29 million for the striker and to me that is a reasonable price.”
According to him, the amount offered by the Blues was not tempting. “Chelsea made a bid a while ago, but it was way too low.”
He has also said that Juventus are leading the competition to secure the dynamic striker’s service and keep him in Italy.
“Juve would not be a bad option for him as he would continue his career in Italy for at least two more years. Yes, Juve are in the pole position because [Juve general manager Beppe] Marotta is a good friend that has submitted the highest bid for him so far.”
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has informed that their rising superstar might leave Sicily by the end of April.
The 21-year-old attacker has developed a lot after his arrival at Stadio Renzo Barber from Instituto de Cordoba. The innovative and agile player is known for his tremendous work rate on the pitch as well as his exceptional dribbling skill and good control over the ball in narrow spaces. He possesses the ability to generate counter attack and break offside trap to score goals with clinical finishing touch.
The versatile attacker has the ability to play in several offensive positions, can also play as a right winger where he can use his stronger left foot to produce powerful shots. The stirring forward is also nicknamed as “the new Sergio Aguero” since his playing style is very similar to his compatriot Aguero.
According to the transfer rumour, Chelsea boss Mourinho, is looking for a second striker as his back-up strikers failed to flourish when Diego Costa was out due to minor injuries. Costa’s addition definitely strengthened Chelsea’s attack department, but they need a supportive forward to cover up the Spanish forward’s absence.
Chelsea is in desperate need of a secondary striker in order to carry their successful league run to the next year’s campaign. The Blues will surely be benefitted, if the transfer rumour regarding Europe’s one of the most desired strikers comes true.
