The Premier League champions, Chelsea, are in pole position to sign Shakhtar Donetsk striker Douglas Costa. Reportedly Chelsea are pondering about a move for Monaco forward Falcao to lure him at Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan deal, which will be like the same deal that brought him at the English top flight a year ago to play for Manchester United. On the other hand, kurt Zouma might leave the Blues after passing a promising debut year since Serie A outfit Sampdoria are heavily interested in him. All the three players are speculated to be a part of the Chelsea transfer rumours.
Chelsea transfer rumours have been indicating that the Blues are looking for a striker as a back-up for their lone forward Diego Costa and reportedly the Blues are on the verge of completing the signing of Douglas Costa for a fee of £20 million, as per the Telegraph.
The Blues passed a tough time in the recently ended season when their star striker Costa got injured and the bench strikers, Loic Remy and Drogba, couldn’t provide much help which compelled Chelsea to consider about the strength of their back-up forwards.
The Brazilian forward has admitted that he wants to make a move and play in Jose Mourinho’s squad.
According to The Metro, Douglas said, “Eventually the time comes when you become tired of playing always in the same league.”
“I’m 24 years old and it is worth trying to tell people that I want to leave. We have got a wonderful coach in Mircea Lucescu, but I think it’s time for a new decision and I assume Mourinho is the best in the world.”
The Colombian talisman, Radamel Falcao wants to secure a move to Stamford Bridge before he starts the upcoming Copa America campaign on June 14. After a devastating season with the United, the star forward wants a second chance to prove his worth and seal his future with the Blues.
Falcao is far from his best days, scored only four goals for the Red Devils and his current club Monaco will be happy to sell him this summer, which will remove the gigantic £265,000 per week wages from the club’s budget. Reportedly, Monaco will demand £35 million to get rid of their white elephant.
Chelsea will prefer a loan deal to a permanent move, according to the Mirror’s John Cross and Darren Lewis. The ‘El Tiger’ is ‘ready to take a big cut’ to be a part of Mourinho’s current squad.
“I recognize that it has been speculated a lot about Chelsea. I want to stay out of it. But I want to continue in the Premier league,” said Falcao, as per Cross and Lewis.
According to Goal.com, Chelsea boss, Mourinho is behind the pursuit and would like to confirm the deal. Mourinho wants Falcao to replace Didier Drogba to defend their League title and get a success in the next season’s prestigious Champions League. The present situation regarding Falcao’s future has made the Chelsea transfer rumours buzzing.
The Serie A side Sampdoria are considering to bid for Chelsea’s 20-year-old defender Kurt Zouma, as per The Metro.
Zouma completed his first season and was able to make 26 appearances with the Blues, which included starting in the Capital One Cup final as a holding midfielder. Zouma is expected to have a great future with the club as the veteran defender John Terry will be 35 by the end of this year. If the transfer really takes place, it will be the biggest shocker this season.
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has shown his strong desire to lure the young Frenchman to Italy.
“I have already completed the signing of Niklas Moisander from Ajax and I am trying to bring Kurt Zouma, because they both are very physical players.”
