The English giant, Manchester United have got clearance to launch bid for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan as Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc admitted that Gundogan has handed over a transfer request. The Red Devils have also shown their interest in PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi and Zenit Saint Petersburg center back Ezequiel Garay which has made these potential players listed in the Man Utd rumours. United’s Spanish goalkeeper De Gea will most likely reject Real Madrid’s offer to prolong his career at Old Trafford, according to recent reports.
Manchester United have been in talks with German international Gundogan to secure his service this summer. Their pursuit for Gundogan who have only one year left on his current contract with the German club, gets boosted when the midfielder decided to leave Dortmund after finishing this season. Michael Zorc, sporting director of Borussia, have confirmed the midfielder’s request to leave the Signal Iduna Park after this season.
“Ilkay informed us he wants to leave this summer.
“But we have got no offers from any clubs for any of our players till now.”
Zorc denied the speculation about a player swoop with Bayern Munich, which would allow them to have Gotze back in lieu of Gundogan, according to TalkSport. He would like to see Gundogan playing in foreign leagues rather than in the Bundesliga.
“Mario is a Bayern player. I can’t imagine him returning to Dortmund.
“It would not result in another war if Bayern try to lure Gundogan. Of course, we would prefer it if he did not go to a Bundesliga rival, even if Bayern have not really been our rivals in a sporting sense this year.”
Zorc has also indicated that Dortmund has no interest to sell their star defender Mats Hummels who is also a part of Man Utd rumours, in this transfer window.
“Every player always has to take his own decisions on their future, but, for us, the intention is quite clear to keep Mats.”
Gundogan is being considered as a replacement for Carrick in the midfield. He has long been a prime target for the Red Devils, and the present situation will be a great help for United to bring the German in the English top-flight.
Borussia will have to cash-in on Gundogan in order to prevent him from joining other clubs in a free transfer as the 24-year-old midfielder has refused to sign any new contract with Borussia.
Lavezzi and Garay Speculation:
Manchester United are reportedly pondering to bid for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi and Zenit defender Ezequiel Garay this summer, as per recent Man Utd rumours. The Red Devils will spend huge sum like the last season to strengthen their side to compete in the next year EPL title as well as the Champions League title if they manage to finish the league in the top four.
United have severely suffered for the poor performances of their forwards. Their high-paid loanee Radamel Falcao failed to flourish after his arrival from Monaco, it looks like no permanent deal is going to happen and Robin van Persie’s performance will be put under scrutiny as he too remained inactive in front of opposition’s d-box, according to the Mirror’s David McDonnell.
Louis van Gaal, United’s boss, is interested in the versatile forward who is unsettled at the Parc des Princes, according to Fichajes.net.
Lavezzi has scored seven goals in 28 league appearances so far, as per WhoScored.com which doesn’t show his true potential. But he managed to achieve a hat-trick against Lille and showed a glimpse of his best days.
According to the Man Utd rumours, United might have to spend large money if they want to bring the 30-year-old at Old Trafford which could lead the forward to rejuvenate his former sublime form.
Manchester United are preparing a suitable bid for Zenit’s defender Ezwquiel Garay. Reportedly a £18.5 million bid has been finalized to lure the Argentine international from Russia.
Louis van Gaal will have to reconsider his defensive options after their 3-0 thrashing against Everton and 1-0 defeat against West Brom. United have conceded 35 goals this season as their defenders failed to restrain opposition’s forward from scoring. Despite having Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, Paddy McNair and Phil Jones, the Red Devils still have to think about their defense line.
Garay has produced a top drawer performance this season for Zenit, which helped the Russian club to hold the first position in the league table.
The Argentine defender couldn’t settle well in Russia and is very keen to move away from Petrovsky Stadium, according to Fichajes.net. He can be a good addition in Van Gaal’s squad this summer to bring stability in the back four, as per recent Man Utd rumours.
De Gea “Set to Sign New Contract” and Depay in for Januzaj:
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea who has been a key player for Van Gaal’s team, is ready to sign a new contract with the Red Devils.
According to the Sun reports, De Gea will extend his contract for another two years, which gives him a chance to earn £200,000-per-week.
Reportedly Real Madrid will still pursue the Spaniard to lure him at the Bernabeu.
Manchester United’s top target Mempis Depay is creating much speculation in the past few weeks. He has been linked with the Red Devils league rival Liverpool.
According to TalkSport, Louis van Gaal will consider a loan offer for Adnan Januzaj from PSV if the Dutch club agree to sell young sensation Memphis Depay to the red Devils which includes him in the Man Utd rumours.
