Barcelona Transfer Rumour: Recent Dani Alves Speculation

The Brazilian right-back Dani Alves has revealed that he will be happy to leave the Nou Camp in order to play for former Italian giant AC Milan. After winning the Champions League, he told Sky Sport Italia that he might consider the offer of Milan. According to, Alves’ seven-year-career with the Catalan club can come to an end after this month and this is causing the Barcelona transfer rumour to buzz again.

The 32-year-old Brazilian has been a star performer this season, winning every possible major trophy. But he will run out of his current contract soon and will be a free agent. If Barcelona fails to keep him at the Nou Camp, they will surely confront dreadful situations as they won’t be able to make any new singing and their bench doesn’t have the ability to provide good replacements.

Barca have two right-backs in their reserves, Montoya and Douglas, to inherit Alves’ position, but none of them is suitable to shoulder the mighty duty. Martin Montoya has not been a regular starter this season and Douglas is yet to show his talent since his arrival. They are still too young to handle the pressure and deliver top-class performances.

Alves might not be considered as one of the best defenders, but his offensive work rate has wiped out his defensive errors. His presence in the right flank has always played a vital role in the Barcelona’s game plan.

Barcelona will try to make sure the veteran defender will remain at the Nou Camp till next January, though they won’t extend any further contract with Alves which has compelled him to be a part of Barcelona transfer rumour. The Catalan club will look for a replacement of the defender in the winter window, but till then Alves’ support is badly needed to make a good start in the upcoming campaign. Barca can’t take any risk by letting Alves leave the Nou Camp because in the next season, they will have to fight hard to defend their honors.

Milan will try to strengthen their squad by bringing players like Alves Alves as they passed another trophy-less year. The Rossoneries can build up a competitive squad using Alves’ vast experience.

A long summer is waiting ahead and Barcelona transfer rumour indicates that the upcoming days can see the dramatic change in Europe’s top clubs.
